2020 Football and Cheer Registration

Registration for Wayland Weston  Youth Football and Cheer Opens March 15th


  • Divisions:
    • K-5: Flag Football with specific team alignments TBD
    • 6-8: Tackle Football
  • Schedule:
    • Preaseason practices to begin the week of August 17th.  
      • Grades K-3 Flag: Tuesday and Thursdays evenings at Wayland High School
      • Grades 4-5 Flag: Tuesday and Thursday evening, Saturday AM at Wayland High School
      • Tackle: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday evenings at Wayland High School
    • Regular season practices begin the week school begins: August 31st
      • Grades K-5 Flag: Tuesday and Thursday evenings at Cochituate field in Wayland
      • Grades 6-8 Tackle: Tuesday and Thursday evenings at Wayland High School
    • Games: Teams play a full complement of games (usually 8) in addition to an end of season tournament if they qualify.
      • Sundays
      • Home games at Wayland High School
      • Away games hosted at hosting towns throughout the Eastern Mass American Youth Football Conference
  • Cost:
    • Flag: $195
    • Tackle:$375
    • Scholarships are available for those with financial need (email president@wwyouthfootball.com for more information)
    • Costs include all necessary equipment except mouthguard, cleats, athletic supporter/cup
    • No money is due at the time of registration!  Just select the payment plan and no money is due until the week before practice starts.  That way if we are unable to have a season for any reason you don't need to wait for a refund. 
  • Interested in coaching?  We are always seeking additional volunteer coaches.  No football background required.  Sign-up when you sign up your athlete.




  • Divisions:  As this is our first year returning with cheerleading we will be opening a cheer program for cheerleaders in grades 1-3.  
  • Schedule:
    • ​Preseason: Begins August 24th
      • Practices Tuesday and Thursday Evening at Wayland High School
    • Regular Season: Begins August 31st
      • Practice location and times: TBD (confirming mat availability)
  • Cost:  $250
  • Experience Required: We welcome all experience levels. Our goal is for all cheerleaders to have fun, make new friends, build confidence and gain a strong understanding of teamwork.
  • Competitions:

    • EMASS LOCAL COMPETITION - New Location this year, TBD - 10/24

    • STATE COMPETITION (if we place in the top 3 @ Locals) - 11/7

    • ** As this is our first year, we will likely compete as an “exhibition” team at the EMASS Local Competition.    

  • Uniforms: Your child will be provided with a game uniform, bow, and poms. They will be given a pink breast cancer awareness bow for our October games, to raise breast cancer awareness. Children may keep the bows, but the rest of the uniform is on loan from WWFC and should be treated as such.

    • Uniforms need to be returned at the end of each season. Families are responsible for replacing uniforms costing approximately $350 if lost, not returned or damaged (torn, bleached, altered without permission)

    • Families are responsible for keeping uniforms clean and in good condition. Uniforms can be hand washed and air dried, or machine washed on the gentle cycle - DO NOT PUT IN DRYER OR IRON.

    • Uniforms are the property of Wayland Weston Youth Football and Cheer and are NOT to be worn and used outside of league sponsored functions (i.e. Halloween, school etc.). Please ask your child to be extremely careful when eating and drinking while in uniform.

  • Addition Required Items/Expenses: (Families order and pay for these items)

    • White Cheer Sneakers

    • White ankle socks

    • White or Black Practice Tank & Black Practice shorts

    • Black Bloomers 

    • ** We will provide ordering information or information on where to buy these items to those registered.

  • How Can I Get Involved: We are rebuilding the cheer program this year and can use all the support we can get. Please consider volunteering your time even if you can’t make every practice or game. This is going to be a team effort. No cheerleading experience needed.
